A self-starter who is productive independently, as well as part of a team and who will enjoy the prospect of working in a project civil construction site environment, managing construction project controls and business operation functions.
As a Project Controller you will play a critical role in the overall the successful and timely delivery of complex multimillion-dollar fast-track, complex heavy-civil, highway and bridge projects from pre-construction stage through project execution and completion.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provides leadership and guidance for project control functions and works cooperatively with project management team to proactively ensure adherence to company policy's, processes and procedures including reporting requirements of, project finance, quality control, safety, schedule, risk, contract administration, and document control.
Work closely with corporate finance executives, project controls manager, construction project management staff and other relevant stakeholders to produce high quality financial and executory status reports.
Oversee and finalize completion of month-end close, financial reports, work in process (WIP) schedule, internal and external audit preparations to sustain project level organizational processes and procedures.
Demonstrates clear comprehension of Earned Value Management and construction forecasting concepts and can effectively integrate with multiple organizational disciplines to acquire information required for accurate reporting.
Exhibits a commitment to acquire a competent working knowledge of project field operations to more clearly corelate field work progress with financial data reporting.
Drives for continuous improvement and is a proponent for positive improvements to organizational systems, process and procedures relating to project controls reporting.
Leads project forecast reviews, utilizes historical and trending data to verify cost and revenue forecasting.
Participates in the management of projects CPM schedule to accurately monitor and validate field work progress corelates with financial data reporting and identify potential workforce or other resource demands to convey these necessities.
Manages project costs, quantity claiming, budget structure and recommend cost adjustments are review and monitor for accuracy.
Collaborate with project teams to evaluate, identify, quantify, and monitor financial risks and opportunities.
Participates in the management of project invoicing and revenue collection and reporting monthly project cash flow projections.
Displays a comprehension of project prime contract, subcontracts, change order management, including insurance, taxes, and labor laws.
Earns trust, credibility, and buy in of processes from Operations team to create better cohesion and clear communication within the organization.
Maintains highly organized work environment, understands importance of time management, and communicates in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
Review monitor and provide accurate compliance status reporting relating to; scheduling, QA/QC, HR, Safety, Financial and other company, contractual and statutory requirements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree or experience.
Experience in construction financial and data analysis.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of Programs Preferred Experience Utilizing:
Excel Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, Power BI, Vista, HeavyJob Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
Demonstrated ability to articulate and summarize information and communicate data to all levels of the organization including executive management confidently and professionally.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
